10 Mile Race Start: 8:30am
5K Race Start: 9am
Virtual Run: ALL DAY!
Run for the River is part of the annual Kenai River Festival, a free family event geared towards fun and inspiration. The proceeds from the race help support the Festival and the environmental programs of the Kenai Watershed Forum. Runners and walkers of all ages will enjoy this multi-turn, looped 5K and 10 Mile course that is routed along the famous Kenai River.
2024 Run for the River gives you THREE OPTIONS!
1) IN PERSON RACE – At this time, we are planning on an in-person Run for the River. *If circumstances prevent an in-person Run, all runners will participate virtually.
2) VIRTUAL RUN – Pick your place (ANYWHERE in the U.S.!) and time of day to run your 5K or 10 Mile and then send us a screenshot of your run tracking app! Virtual runners may pick up their t-shirts in person or select for them to be mailed.
3) DON’T RUN! – Not a runner but want to support Run for the River, the Kenai River Festival and the Kenai Watershed Forum? Donations towards the run and the Kenai Watershed Forum are greatly appreciated, and donors will receive a commemorative Run for the River shirt from previous years while supplies last.
