~Restoration Completed~

Two Moose Creek • Anchor Point, AK
Summer 2007

What: Stream revegetation and bank stabilization

Where:Latitude 59.759 Longitude -151.777

Why: This culvert was identifies as a high priority barrier and was replaced in 2005 by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. A site visit in 2006 revealed that natural vegetation along the stream bank disturbed during the culvert replacement had not fully recovered and revegetation work was necessary. Planting native vegetation in the previously disturbed work area helps provide stream bank stabilization and allows natural riparian functions to occur.

When: Summer 2007

Cost: Estimated $10,000+

Who: Kenai Watershed Forum and US Fish & Wildlife Service

Status: COMPLETE
