From the beginning, KWF has always believed that working together on issues is the best way to succeed. We stive to enhance our relationships with organizations and agencies. Listed here are a few of the orgnizaions we have partnered with most recently. We would also like them for their continued support for KWF and our efforts. ~Key Partners~ The Nature Conservancy, Alaska - The Nature Conservancy is a leading international, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the diversity of life on Earth. The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive. Kenaitze Indian Tribe - The Kenaitze Indian Tribe, IRA is a federally recognized tribe, organized under the Indian Reorganization Act of 1934, as amended for Alaska in 1936. Tribal members and lineal descendents number more than 1,100. The Kenaitze have a written constitution, an elected council, and serve other Native Alaskans and Native Americans throughout the Kenai Peninsula with social, health and cultural programs. Cook Inlet Aquaculture Association - The Cook Inlet Aquaculture Association was incorporated in 1976 to provide the Cook Inlet drainage with an organized, scientifically respected community, responsible for the protection of self-perpetuating salmon stocks and the rehabilitation of salmon stocks and habitat. Kenai River Sportfishing Association - The Kenai River Sportfishing Association is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit membership-based educational and conservation organization of sport anglers, conservationists and others whose primary goal is preservation and improvement of salmon habitat while promoting responsible sportfishing on the Kenai River. Leavens Foundation - A family foundation out of New Jersey.
